Mudras are hand positions usually used in meditation that come from a number of traditions, Hindu, Buddhist, Christian and others.
A mudra that works will help you to centre yourself so you can deal with stress and overwhelm. I have used them to focus, balance my energy and overcome fatigue. I have even used a mudra to cause a hip release in a client of mine.
