I’ve been stalling on this one for awhile.
A few years ago my friend Tom Wloka said something to me about the energy of books and how I might test them. I acknowledged him but didn’t do anything about it. At the time I was more interested in the energy of remedies like herbs, tinctures, homeopathics or colours, sounds and other things.

I had a prejudice inside of me that said only remedies from Mother Nature can be useful. I was wrong.
My training as a scientist had blinded me.
Several years ago while I was taking some time off from my booth at the Toronto Total Health Show I came across a sacred bookseller. Her booth was so “energetic” I was compulsively drawn to it.
One book in particular held my attention. My experience at the time was that even if you were in its presence or had it open in your room you would be in some way enlightened.
When I returned home I started kinesiology testing my racks of books (and I have a lot of them).
The first to be checked out was my copy of the King James Version of the Bible and it tested very well.

I own quite a number of sacred texts and writings from around the world.
Some did well. More than a few did not check out well at all.
One American writer of sacred knowledge that I was really, really into during the 1970’s tested very poorly. How interesting. And I own 12 of his books.
I am not going to talk about the sacred texts that did not do well except to tell you that if this subject really fascinates you, you can learn to become adept at kinesiology testing on your own and then you can feel and experience this for yourself. Don’t believe what I am saying. Know it.
I bought all the various translations of the Bible I could find. Below is the collection I have as of today. There are a total of 10 different versions.

I’ve checked them all out and have also tested other translations of the Bible that do not appear in the photo above.
Some versions do much better than others. My top 3 favourites in order are:
- New American Standard Bible
- English Standard Version Bible
- King James Version Bible
In order to become proficient at kinesiology the first rule is that you must have complete neutrality when you test. I have described how to test properly in this blog. You could start here if you want to learn more.
To become proficient it takes practice, practice, practice, and even more practice.

Here is a sampling of some more books that will increase your energy or even help you to meditate just by having them in your life:
- The Way To Love by Anthony De Mello
- Resurrection by Leo Tolstoy
- The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran
- Whispers Of The Beloved by Rumi
- Serenity Prayers by June Cotner
- A Course In Miracles by Foundation For Inner Peace
- The Lost Book Of Enki by Zecharia Sitchin. I know this one is listed as fiction but it does test very well.
- The Last Days Of Socrates by Plato
- Tao Te Ching translation by Gia-Fu Feng & Jane English. I have another translation of this text which does not test well.
blessings and peace to you,
